Mala + Mantra creates gemstone jewellery line for mindfulness and wellness

Mala + Mantra, the jewellery and accessories line for luxury spas and resorts, has created a new Yoga Mala Collection for retail in spas.

The semi-precious gemstones and sustainably-sourced woods are hand-crafted by a fair trade cooperative of women artisans in the Philippines.

Yoga Mala is designed to give messages of mindfulness for employee incentives, promotions, giveaways and spa amenities.

Suitable for spa and yoga retreats and resorts, the line currently retails at the Red Mountain Resort, Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn, Four Seasons Aviara, Meritage Resort & Spa, and the The Phoenician Centre for Well Being.

The pursuit of mindfulness and wellness are fundamental to Mala and Mantra’s core values. All Mala + Mantra mala beads come with a written mantra based on the holistic properties and energies of each gemstone and material. The mantras are a suggestion for meditation, if one should choose to use the beads in practice.

“We started this business in an effort to create a meaningful brand whose products would resonate with conscious consumers and, through our products, help to spread the powerful message of mindfulness,” said Mala + Mantra founder, Judith Compton.

“We source the highest quality sustainable raw materials, consciously produced with fair labour. This includes paying fair wages and providing a safe, supportive working environment.”

She adds that Integrating Yoga Mala into a yoga or meditation practice enhances the overall wellness experience. The beads symbolise the mantra Namaste, which translates to “The divine light in me honours the divine light in you.’
